Two introduction therapies are often used, ionic introduction and ultrasonic introduction.

The ultrasonic introduction is a therapeutic method to force drugs into the body through skin or mucous membrane ultrasonically by adding drugs into couplant. It is known as ultrasonic drug penetration therapy, or ultrasonic penetration therapy for short.

Ultrasonic waves may improve the permeability of cell membrane and expand local capillary, which is good for drug penetrated into patient's body; meanwhile, micro sound stream will be generated inside cells that can alter the cellular structure and improve cells' sensitiveness to drugs. The ultrasonic introduction therapy is effective in relieving pain and itching, activating blood circulation, rebuilding the ecological balance of skin and resuming the micro physiological environment of skin. On the other hand, the percutaneous absorption of drugs is another way of systemic administration, which can regulate the immune system of skin and achieve the general therapeutic effect.
